I did this on 2 phase 2's and a phase 3. The phase 3 definitely has side airbags in the seats and they are attached to the seat belt stalks and can be removed as one unit once the side cover at the bottom is removed.

the phase 2 will depend on year I think. If it has a passenger airbag on the dash instead of the second glove box then most likely yes.

removing the seats is easy enough albeit a buit fiddly to get at one particular torx screw.

DISCONNECT BATTERY nad leave for a good hour to make sure airbag does not deploy.
Move seat all the way forward and remove 2 rear torx screws.
move seat all the way back and remove outer front torx screw.

then renew your patience and maybe use a flexible adaptor to torx bit because the inside front is impossible to get at straight on.

it will happen but just take your time.

Once you have all removed I just lean seat in toward middle of car and then unclipo the 2 (if no airbag) or 3 ( if airbag) connectors. should be an Orange a red and a white. on drivers side if airbag and just red and white if no airbag. passenger side always has one less.

good luck. there is a really good full black leather interior in Queensland Australia but i figure you are in UK.

Hi all. Been a while since I've posted...its been almost 3 years since I've run my phase 2! The plan is to get it road worthy next month. Among the long list of jobs is repairing the driver's seat. The outer seams on the backrest have come undone an there's a bit of a tear in the leather. Now I was thinking I'd get the whole seat out and take it to be re-trimmed. However I've got some concerns about whether the seat has an airbag. As I said the otter seam (where I assume the airbag would be) is open and it doesn't appear to have one. But then there is an airbag sticker on the base of the seat suggesting there's one fitted. Does anyone know what's true and how I need to go about getting the seat out?

Thanks!

Thx Perry. So i now have a 2 button arrived by snail mail.

Tried Lee's method of holding key near.  IR bicnear mirror.....nothing..nada.

Any ideas how to link key..or do i need planet?

1. Turn the Ignition switch to the accessory position using the key without the remote plip attached.
2. Hold the Plip key close to the central locking receiver mounted in the roof console.
3. Press the large plip button and then the small plip button on the remote.
4. Repeat for second Plip key if required.
5. Turn the ignition OFF.
6. After 5 seconds the Plip should now operate.

If this doesn't work, I'd be getting an after market R/F unit with extra output for the boot popper.

thanks Dunks

917oL1 is in fact a one button key fob.  I thought 655403 was correct for a phase 2 with IR fob but when i gace peugeot the VIN they came back with 9170L1. or 6552rv.

the 9170L1 is in fact just the shell with the circuit borad and no blade.
All of them are listed here

https://www.ilcats.ru/peugeot/?function=getParts&model=1PN5&body=B0DC5&engine=B0F4Y&group=FCT0500&subgroup=FCT0323&subsubgroup=FCT0325&part=N5C666A01A&language=en

it shows part numbers for all of them and a schematci for each and does say 655403 is a 2 button.

what i dont understand is that all the stuff on 306cab talks about 2 button fobs... why would peugeot say it is a one button for this car??

any chance you could seek clarification from peugeot for me for VIN VF37DRFVE32716329

i have 2 spares with no buttons but want to get remote going and do the boot lock mod that Bob has done as well as a popper.

My ph2 has a single button IR as well, which I got rid of and put in a RF system as it was completely s***.
C/L control box can be under the drivers seat, behind the drivers side rear door trim or under the rear seat in ph2's, it's below the heater controls on ph3's
