Ive mailed the organisers to find out whether it means only ph1's are allowed and am still awaiting a response. I'll let you know what they say!
Should be alright with the sports/ convertible category I'd of thought. If not, looks like I'm gonna be Billy No Mates.  :-[

Right I've spoken to the show organisers and im not convinced that we are going to be able to get in...

The ruling for clubs is that you are not allowed more than 25% of your cars to be post 1996....

So... How many Pre-1996 cars are interested in going, and then how many people with pre-1996 cars have personalised number plates that are pre-1996? ;D

well looking at the list.... Shep is the only genuine ph 1!!!

Mines on a personalised plate using an M Reg so can hopefully get away with it that way....

Not sure about the others though.... Could always just get one of us to book it and try and blag it :P

Or we meet up somewhere beforehand and all drive in on show plates or pretend that we misheard the rules and thought that as long as 25% were pre-1996 we would be allowed in...

Seeing how we are all set for the date and place, could just go down the pub and have a meet.  ;D
Don't fancy going in on my own.  :P

We could in theory meet up for a pub lunch and then park the cars together in the car park and head into the show if people want to.. or vice versa..

I guess it depends what everyone fancies doing??

Unfortunately I don't know Newbury pubs well enough to know where we can all get in and park - other than the Toby Carvery on the Robin Hood roundabout and possibly the Hatchet (weatherspoons) in town I don't know of a pub with a big enough space for us all to park.

I don't mind travelling to the race track after if thats what we decide to do - more than happy to drive a convoy through Newbury and annoy everyone :P
