Getting really confused.. i called peugeot Australia and gave them VIN and they came back with  part no 9170L1 which is a single button fob. I now have 3 different part numbers. 655403..6552RV. and 9170L1.....HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

992680 is blank key
992681 is cut key

thanks Dunks

917oL1 is in fact a one button key fob.  I thought 655403 was correct for a phase 2 with IR fob but when i gace peugeot the VIN they came back with 9170L1. or 6552rv.

the 9170L1 is in fact just the shell with the circuit borad and no blade.
All of them are listed here

https://www.ilcats.ru/peugeot/?function=getParts&model=1PN5&body=B0DC5&engine=B0F4Y&group=FCT0500&subgroup=FCT0323&subsubgroup=FCT0325&part=N5C666A01A&language=en

it shows part numbers for all of them and a schematci for each and does say 655403 is a 2 button.

what i dont understand is that all the stuff on 306cab talks about 2 button fobs... why would peugeot say it is a one button for this car??

any chance you could seek clarification from peugeot for me for VIN VF37DRFVE32716329

i have 2 spares with no buttons but want to get remote going and do the boot lock mod that Bob has done as well as a popper.

My chassis in Peugeot brings back a 655403 Described as 2 button  your chassis brings up 6652RV Described as COMBINATION ACCURATE TO THE CDE

If you look without a chassis then there's 3 options described as

 6552RV...TRANSMITTER CONDEMNATION DOORS
- SIMPLE LOCKING CONDEMNATION AND COMBINATION ACCURATE TO THE CDE

655403...TRANSMITTER CONDEMNATION DOORS
- LOCKING SUPER CONDAMNATION
2 BUTTONS TO PROGRAM

9170L1..TRANSMITTER CONDEMNATION DOORS
- SIMPLE LOCKING CONDEMNATION AND COMBINATION ACCURATE TO THE CDE

Confused ???  Well I am  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

YOu aint the only one dunks. what threw me was when Peugeot said 917oL1 becasue I had never heard of a 306 having a one button fob. I did get an email back from

https://www.pieces-de-rechange-classic.com/fr/

they are a handy mob for parts by the way. but they reckon 655403 will suit my VIN..
only issue is I dont know if they will post to Australia. theirs is only E65. much ebtter than AUD$400 from peugeot via France.

might just bite the bullet for E65 and get it if they will post to me

I am thinking 6552rv is like the 12mm 2 ket without immobiliser and the 655403 which i know is the thicker 16mm one is with immobiliser.

the only one button we have is on my son's my2000  hatch .206

cheers.

I found this also

https://www.ilcats.ru/peugeot/?function=getParts&model=1PN5&body=B0DC5&engine=B0F4Y&group=FCT0500&subgroup=FCT0323&subsubgroup=FCT0325&part=N5C666A01A&language=en

They describe 6552rv as.... simple central locking

and 655403 as......central dead locking

which is what led to me to think that 6552rv is narrow 2 button IR without chip and 655403 is thicker IR with chip

ok if you look at the link in my last post

https://www.ilcats.ru/peugeot/?function=getParts&model=1PN5&body=B0DC5&engine=B0F4Y&group=FCT0500&subgroup=FCT0323&subsubgroup=FCT0325&part=N5C666A01A&language=en

seems like parts 1&3 go together and parts 2&4 go together. so if i can find central locking control box i should be able to figure out which fob I need.make sense??

where the hell is central locking ECU??

My ph2 has a single button IR as well, which I got rid of and put in a RF system as it was completely s***.
C/L control box can be under the drivers seat, behind the drivers side rear door trim or under the rear seat in ph2's, it's below the heater controls on ph3's

1. Turn the Ignition switch to the accessory position using the key without the remote plip attached.
2. Hold the Plip key close to the central locking receiver mounted in the roof console.
3. Press the large plip button and then the small plip button on the remote.
4. Repeat for second Plip key if required.
5. Turn the ignition OFF.
6. After 5 seconds the Plip should now operate.

If this doesn't work, I'd be getting an after market R/F unit with extra output for the boot popper.

Hey Perry

I think I am getting this all wrong.. I dont need to attack the central locking ecu just the IR receiver mounted between the sunvisors.. Is that correct.?

5 wires and change to an RF type with new remotes inc a boot popper.. The only reason for attacking the ecu would be for Bob's mod with earth return which i have a popper i dont need anyway.

ok guys

I have got the IR receiver out

https://imgur.com/xFTbdsf

i have 5 wires.. Anyone can tell me who is who in the Zoo.

1    Blank     Grey
2    A             Orange
3    N        Purple
4    P         Brown
5    3         Yellow Green

I am assuming from other posts

1. Earth
2. 12V +ve Ignition Only
3. Lock/Unlock
4. Lock/Unlock
5. Constant 12V +ve

There is an aftermarket product in Oz that looks like this

https://imgur.com/UE4tblk

which supposedly after adaptation for a xantia that uses same IP receiver ends up like this

https://imgur.com/OtbJut0

i cant work out why you would lose the constant active.. Nor do i know what the cut wires are for although on the aftermarket kit . Blue and Green

So in the afrermarket kit. BLue and Green do to all the actuators on all doors.  they are the only 2 wires that doors aside from drivers door have.

 https://imgur.com/NSKjVIk

White and Brown nearest Active go to Drivers door only for remote lock unlock  assume.
lower white and brown set go to manual trigger switch

then red active constant to battery and a neutral so nothing through ignition.

so if i could get some help as to what each of the 5 wires are i would appreciate it

cheers

Pete
