Hi All
« on: April 25, 2019, 10:21:01 AM »
Thought I'd add a message as a newcomer to the forum. Recently I'd been on the hunt for a convertible, searching through all the ads and auction listings, always enjoy the search. Thought about a tin top Vauxhall however not many good reviews, couldn't seem to find decent Bertone cab either. Had a look at the Peugeot coupe cabs and was about to go and see one when I spotted a lovely 306 cab local to me.

The 306 is so much better looking than the coupe cabs, this one is maroon looks almost purple really, very nice set of wheels too. All checked out, good condition with 12 months MOT and several bills for work carried out. So two weeks later, with no intention of buying a 306 cab initially, here I am. Still work to do, hopefully nothing too major. So far its going really well, been great over the bank holiday with the roof down 8).

Fingers crossed the honeymoon period doesn't end abruptly.  :o

Cheers

Ed

Similarly, I had no idea I was becoming a pug convertible owner, until I found out I was one.  On an impulse (and because the first defo needs a new exhaust) I bought another on Good Friday.

Ownership will either be an expensive disaster for me, or I'll learn some mechanical skills pretty sharpish (I once changed an alternator on a Calvalier - that is my most mechanical of mechanics, ever).

Fingers crossed for us both!  8)
Eager, but not particularly car-mechanically minded (although logical / analyst / programmer), so in need of a pug-mentor. I generally stroke the wheel a lot and say please to her(s). I have 2 x Phase 3's; a 2001 1.8 manual and 2003 1.6 auto.
