First wash and polish....
« on: May 07, 2019, 03:11:38 PM »
Haven't had my cab long but finally carved out some time this bank holiday to give the hood a good scrub and polish the bodywork. I was really surprised how well it cleaned up. Thought it was worth a couple of photos.  :o :D

Cheers dunks!

I was a little on edge washing it for the first time, lots of water + older convertibles can equal a 4 wheeled duck pond, however,  surprisingly there were no leaks. Checked all over and was feeling pretty pleased I'd gotten away with it. Went to put her back in the garage and the speedo, rev counter and fuel gauge refused to work.  >:(

Tried to look for a fuse but in the end took a punt and disconnected the battery for a bit. Had some words, reconnected battery and luckily they all came back.

Not sure what that was about but I'm starting to understand what everyone means by "french electrics".  ;D

Thanks scotsdave and pugsley.

I think the factory description for the colour is something like metallic aubergine :P certainly looks better than it sounds. Can’t imagine ordering it new and being enticed by aubergine.   ;D
